A complete misshapen post-Medieval cast copper-alloy mount (c. 1500-c. 1700 AD). The body of the mount was formally flat and symmetrical. It has a rectangular terminal at each end which has a decorative transverse groove. There is an indent at both ends of each groove. It has a central rectangular element that is divided from the terminals by two semi-circular cut outs at each side. A slightly corroded and damaged cast copper-alloy medieval bar mount, elongated with a central circular element. The central lobe has a truncated, flat top and central circular perforation. The arms are semicircular in cross-section with a flat lower surface. One ends with the vestiges of a circular terminal, perforated to take a rivet, and bent down as a result of old damage. The other terminal has broken off. The artefact has corroded to a mid-grey colour. The object is similar to artefacts illustrated in Egan and Pritchard (1991, 214; fig. 134) which tend to date from before 1350 AD.

A cast copper-alloy medieval bar mount with hemispherical central lobe (c. 14th century AD). The central lobe is solid and is plain on its upper surface. The bars are more elongated than some other contemporary examples; they narrow gradually towards their terminals. Each terminates in a small side lobe which is perforated and recessed on the lower surface; neither of the rivets survive. The artefact now has a dark-grey/green patina with diagonal file marks on the lower surface. For a similar 'solid' bar mount see ref. HAMP-C16BB7 on this database.

A cast copper-alloy medieval bar mount, small and sub-hemispherical in form dating to c. 14th century. The convex, central lobe is crossed by three main neatly incised transverse lines that create ridges. One of the smaller perforated terminal lobes retains a copper-alloy rivet. The reverse is recessed in all three lobes, central and terminal. A Medieval cast copper alloy casket key which comprises a hollow-ended sub-circular shank a round bow with a terminal knop and rectangular bit. The bit has a small notch on the inside and 2 notches on the outside edge. The bit measures 12.79 mm long and 9.45 mm wide and is 1.3 mm thick. The overall length is 38.25mm long. The bow is 12.82 mm in diameter. This key probably dates to the 14th-15th century. The overall condition is good with some powdery corrosion. See also NMS-30F2B2

Medieval or Post Medieval sheet copper alloy folded rivet, probably a repair for a copper alloy vessel. The rivet is made from a lozenge-shaped piece of sheet the ends of which have been folded in to meet in the middle and then back out. There are traces of sooting on the folded side. It measures 39.9mm by 21.3mm by 3.9mm and weighs 8.36g. A similar rivet is illustrated in Egan's 'Medieval Household' (1998, p. 176, no. 489) and in Egan (2005:101) Fig: 87.

A complete cast copper-alloy toy cannon of Post-Medieval date. It has a cylindrical barrel that tapers towards a flaring open end with concave moulding. At the centre extend integrally cast cylindrical trunnions to attach the cannon to a carriage. It has a circular touch hole at the closed end positioned between two circumferential bands, and the closed end itself has a projecting cylindrical knop. A cast copper-alloy Early-Medieval/Anglo-Saxon hooked tag of Read Class A Type 1. It has a flat, sub-triangular plate that tapers towards the base where there is an integral hook that tapers to a sharp rear-facing tip. The front face of the plate has incised decoration comprising four ring and dot motifs arranged in a simple cross shape at the centre of the plate. A slightly worn and bent, possibly irregular 11th-century silver late early-medieval penny of Edward the Confessor, 'Pyramids' type, struck by the moneyer Spracling probably at Winchester mint (c. 1065 - c. 1066 AD; North 831). Two small points of copper-alloy corrosion product on the obverse suggest that this coin might be a plated copy; they may simply be accretions.
