A fragment of a silver denarius of uncertain emperor, probably dating to the early third century AD (Reece period 10 to 11). The fragment is too small to identify the reverse type although it depicts a figure standing left. Probably Mint of Rome. This coin has been deliberately cut and is a feature seen on many of the coins from this assemblage. It is possible that this represents a ritual or votive act.
