A complete cast copper alloy buckle of medieval date. The buckle is a single looped oval with an integral forked spacer and circular lipped frame. The pin remains in tact looped around the narrow strap bar.
The metal has a light greyish-brown patina and is worn. The buckle is 23.3 mm long, 12.2mm wide, 2.3mm thick and weighs 1.6g.
A similar example is illustrated in Whitehead, p.37, no.216 and is dated to circa 1350 - 1450.

A complete cast copper alloy buckle of medieval date. The buckle is a single looped D-shape with a rectangular narrowed and offset strap bar. The pin remains in tact and is looped around the strap bar.
The metal has a mid brownish-green patina and is worn. The buckle is 12.5mm long, 11.5mm wide, 2.8mm thick and weighs 0.9g.
A similar example is illustrated in Whitehead, p.19, no.59 and is dated to circa 1250 - 1500.

An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of early-medieval date. The buckle is D-shaped in plan and circular in section with a worn and broken narrowed and recessed strap bar. The pin no longer remains. The outer edge of the frame is wide and undecorated with no recess for the pin. The frame terminates in bulbous knops which are most probably crude representations of animal heads confronted across the strap bar. Zoomorphic terminals are a common feature of buckles of this period and are intended to represent some sort of quadruped's head, such as a lion or leopard.

An almost complete cast cooper alloy hooked tag of post-medieval date. The hooked tag is probably of Reads Class D, Type 5 being heart-shaped or ovoid in plan, though no exact parallel could be found. The main plate is heart-shaped in plan with a concave reverse and a trapezoidal attachment loop projecting from the upper curves. The pointed end bears a moulded cross collar from which the now incomplete hook projects.
The metal has a dark blackish-brown patina and is worn. The hooked tag is 34.7mm long, 13.3mm wide, 2.7mm thick and weighs 2.7g

An incomplete cast cooper alloy hooked tag of post-medieval date. The hooked tag is of Reads Class E, Type 3 being circular in plan. The main plate is a moulded openwork design consisting of a linear cross with central pellet and beaded outer border. Much of the design has been lost to old, worn breaks.
From one edge of the hooked tag the rectangular attachment loop with D-shaped section projects. From the opposite edge a small worn projection is all that remains of the hook. The reverse of the object is flat and undecorated.

A complete lithic implement of late Mesolithic date (6300-4300 BC). Small blade like microlith, pointed at the distal end and with a notch incised in the left hand side. The dorsal surface has a raised ridge along the medial line and the outer margin contains fine retouching. The ventral surface is smooth with the exception of faint cracking ripples and one notch at the proximal end which is a possible hafting point.
The colour is light grey with cream inclusions throughout.

No attachment loop is present and a D-shaped sectioned hook projects from one edge. The reverse of the object is flat and undecorated.

An incomplete cast copper alloy zoomorphic strap of Early-Medieval date (AD 750-950).
The strap end is of Thomas Class A, these types are of the less expensive end of the spectrum. The typical decorations of A2 class are curvilinear and geometric patterns, however this example is too corroded to ascertain the decoration.
The terminal end comes to a point while the split attachment end contains one small rivet on the left hand side, the rivet to the right is missing however half of the hole where it was affixed remains. The zoomorphic head terminal is moulded in very low relief and…

Small awl like microlith with an abrupt point to the distal end created by an abrupt notch removed from the right hand side of the flint. The Ventral surface contains four negative scars and three arrises. The outer margin has fine retouch with the exception of the notched incision. The ventral surface contains a blub of percussion on the proximal edge.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy wheel from a post-Medieval pastry jigger (AD 1700-1800). It has radiating grooves and ridges and a serrated, zig-zig circumference for cutting. There is a central piercing for an axis bar which would have been secured to a handle but both of there aspects are absent.

A complete glass bead of uncertain date. The bead is circular in plan with a central circular perforation. The glass is a mid blue colour and survives in good condition with only a few small scratches.
The bead is 9.3mm in diameter, 6.6mm thick and weighs 0.7g.
Glass beads are very difficult to date with any certainty therefore due to a lack of contextual evidence and any diagnostic features it is not possible to date this object any more closely and it could be Roman through to modern in date.

The outer face is decorated with a moulded design of a coiled and interlaced quadruped with head raised upwards at the rectangular apex. The bottom corners of the mount extend out into rounded projections above which are two holes for attachment.
The reverse of the mount is concave and undecorated.
The metal has a dark greenish-red patina and is slightly worn. The mount is 53.8mm long, 31.5mm wide, 6.7mm thick and weighs 23.7g.
