A complete lead bag seal of post-medieval to modern date. The seal is comprised of a single disc of metal which is perforated by a hole running across its diameter. The holes would have been for wire or textile ligatures which were used to secure a bag.
Stamped text can be seen on both sides of the seal; one bears a quartered shield with pellets in the two lower quarters and the other side reads :HW//:12[-]
The metal is a mid yellowish-brown colour and is worn. The seal is 21.2mm in diameter, 3.4mm thick and weighs 8.2g.

A copper-alloy fragment of a late Medieval to early post-Medieval purse frame.
At one end of the bowed fragment is a damaged perforated lug. The remainder of the piece is of 'V-shaped' section, the width increasing towards the point at which it was broken in antiquity. No trace of decoration is visible on the outer face, while the inner face has one complete and one partially surviving perforation. The object measures 48.8mm long, up to 6.8mm high, 5mm wide and weighs 7.3g.

Stamped text can be seen on both sides of the seal; one side is extremely worn and appears to bear a central cross within beaded border and the other side reads :Rb//:12K
The metal is a light whitish-grey colour and is worn. The seal is 19.5mm in diameter, 4.2mm thick and weighs 8.7g.

A base sherd of a Roman Vectis Ware ceramic vessel (c. 43-c. AD 350 AD). The coarse ware fabric is brownish grey and reddish close to the inner surface. No indication of a burnished surface.
The breaks are old.

'Vectis ware is hand-made, well finished and relatively hard, being barely scratched with the fingernail. An incomplete post medieval copper alloy composite chatelaine. It consist of three parts; a large hook for attachment to a belt; a chain of 'S' links; and a thick piece of wire with looped ends. From the latter would have hung keys, toilet sets, etc.
The hook is formed of four thick pieces of wire (1.9mm diameter). One piece is bent to form an elongated oval with one larger looped end to form an attachment loop; the piece has then been bent in half and another piece of wire added to the centre to form a three-thick hook. A post-medieval cast copper-alloy 'S'-shaped strap or belt fastener (c. 1575-c. 1800 AD).
The fastener has two swan or serpent head terminals with necks that curve to form hooks. Each head has a finely moulded beak and eyes, and patterning on the neck possibly represent feathers or scales. The necks narrow below the heads before expanding towards the centre of the fastener. At the centre, on both faces, there is a moulded flower-head motif. Attached to one of the hooks is a circular wire copper-alloy ring which is circular in cross-section and has an outer diameter of 12.63mm.

An incomplete cast lead or lead alloy bi-convex spindle whorl of Roman to later Medieval date (1 - 1500 AD). The spindle whorl is irregular in plan probably originally being circular and D shaped in cross section. There is a circular cast hole through the whorl and this is set off centre. The diameter of the hole measures 9.6mm. The upper side of the spindle whorl has been decorated with a series of cast radiating lines and crescent shaped cast holes that separate the rim of the whorl from the body.
