Late Bronze Age socketed axe head, a variant of the Taunton-Hademarschen type with oval rather than square mouth. The axe is relatively long and narrow compared to more common forms of socketed axe. the surface is badly corroded with the original surface only surviving in a few areas. The mouth of the socket is oval and adjacent to the mouth is a shallow rounded moulding 16.2mm wide reinforcing this end. A complete worked bone hair pin, of mid Roman dating (43 AD to 410 AD).
The head of the pin is flat. The pin tapers in size from the top down to the point. Due to the degree of working, it is hard to identify what type of animal the bone has originally come from, but probably it was fashioned from a metapodial (lower leg) of a cow or sheep sized animal.
The pin measures 75.86mm in length, head diameter is 7.71mm. It weighs 4.1 grams.

The head of the pin is a plain conical shape, similar in style to those classified as Type 1 by Crummy (1983, p20). The pin tapers in size from the top down to the point. Due to the degree of working, it is hard to identify what type of animal the bone has originally come from, but probably it was fashioned from a metapodial (lower leg) of a cow or sheep sized animal.

Approximately 75% of the pin is present, consisting of the head of the pin and part of the shaft. A complete cast copper-alloy Roman nail cleaner with high shoulders, dating to either the first or second century AD. The suspension loop is circular and measures 13mm in diameter with an internal diameter of 10mm. The suspension loop is in the same plane as the body. The body is leaf-shaped and decorated with a single groove down the centre on both sides. The body tapers to two nibs with a v-shaped groove between. The object has a reddish patina.

Description: Cast gold circular domed button with flower design. There is a central circular boss with stippled effect, surrounded by 14 elongated petals which are recessed and contain traces of an inlay, which appears to be red in colour. The reverse of the button is slightly hollowed and has a central circular suspension loop. It is 15.10mm in diameter and weighs 2.73 grams.
