This moneyer also struck in the first year of the reign of John (AD 1199) so there remains the possibility that the issuer of this coin is actually John, however the obverse is too worn to be certain.

Obverse initial mark is a Tun, indicating the provincial mint at Canterbury 1486-1504. Reverse shows solid long cross fourchee with three pellets per quarter. Reverse legend reads POSVI/DEVM A/DIVTO/R[EM]EV - CIVI/TAS/CAN/TOR.
This coin is a type I facing bust issue, with no stops. See North, J.J. 1991, p.102, no.1712, class III c.
Die axis is 1 o'clock, weight is 1.38g, diameter is 19.55mm, thickness is 0.72mm.
