A fragment of a ceramic vessel of medieval date. The fragment part of handle which is D-shaped in section with two ridges running vertically along it. The fabric is soft and soapy, buff in colour with a few small inclusions. The external surface of the handle is coated with a mottled olive glaze of a type which was common in the 13th-14th centuries. The handle fragment is 35.1mm long, 47.4mm wide, 22.6mm thick and weighs 29.4g.

A complete cast copper alloy buckle of post-medieval date. The buckle is a double looped oval shape with rounded ends and trefoil sides with raised ridges at either end of the strap bar. The strap bar is narrowed and the pin no longer remains. The reverse of the buckle is flat and undecorated. The metal has a dark greenish-brown colour and is worn. The buckle is 84.2mm long, 56.7mm wide, 4.3mm thick and weighs 52.4g. A similar example is illustrated in Whitehead, p.70, no.440 and is dated to circa 1600 - 1720.

A complete cast copper alloy buckle of post-medieval date. The buckle is double looped oval shape with ornate frame. The outer curved edges of the frame are decorated with trefoil designs which may have once been openwork but have since been filled with corroded metal. Slight projections are also present either end of the strap bar. The reverse of the buckle is flat and undecorated and a patch of iron corrosion on the strap bar is all that remains of the pin. The foot is roughly square in plan with a rounded base which looks as though it may have been heavily hammered to achieve the curve. An incomplete cast copper alloy hooked tag of post-medieval date. The hooked tag is of Reads Class A, Type 8 being oval in plan. The tag is extremely worn and has lost its attachment knops and collar. There are faint traces of a raised floral design within an oval border on the front face of the tag though it is now very worn. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The metal is a dark reddish-brown colour and is worn. The hooked tag is 25.5mm long, 16.2mm wide, 2.1mm thick and weighs 2.3g. An incomplete cast copper alloy thimble of medieval date. The thimble has a circular base from which the sides taper slightly inwards and the crown of the thimble has been lost to old breaks. Drilled pits of slightly different sizes decorate the thimble in an irregular pattern across its surface. The inside of the thimble is undecorated. The metal is a dark blackish-green colour and is worn. The thimble is 12.4mm in height, 18.7mm in diameter, 1.3mm thick and weighs 4.3g. A similar example can be seen in Egan, p.267, no.820.

An incomplete cast copper alloy whistle of post-medieval date. The whistle is sub T-shaped in plan with a hollow, circular section. One terminal is cast in the design of an exotic bird while the other has been lost to an old break. The object is possibly a hawking whistle. The metal has a mid reddish-brown patina and is worn. The whistle is 67.7mm long, 33.9mm wide, 9.2mm thick and weighs 30.9g. Similar whistles can be seen on the PAS database as Unique ID: KENT3333 and BUC-8600D2.

A complete cast copper alloy buckle of post-medieval date. The buckle is a double looped, sub-rectangular shape with integral strap bar. The pin no longer remains. The metal is a mid reddish-brown colour and is worn. The buckle is 22.9mm long, 17.7mm wide, 1.7mm thick and weighs 1.5g. A similar example is illustrated in Whitehead, p.75, no.465 and is dated to circa 1570 - 1700. This example is however more slender than those depicted by Whitehead and could possibly be later.

An incomplete cast copper alloy harness fitting of medieval date. The fitting is sub-rectangular in plan due to worn breaks along two sides. The surviving portion has a lion passant within a thick raised border (only two sides of which now remain and the reverse is undecorated. There are no signs of attachment method which makes it difficult to determine the exact nature of this particular object. The metal has a dark reddish-brown patina and is worn. The harness fitting is 28.9mm long, 23.9mm wide, 3.8mm thick and weighs 10.2g.

Two complete cast copper alloy coin weights of post-medieval date. Both weights are extremely worn but appear to be unifaced. They are square in plan and rectangular in section, stamped on one side with the figure of St Michael spearing a dragon. These weights would have been used to weigh the Angel or Half angel. The metal has a mid reddish-brown patina and is worn. Weight 1 is 14.3mm x 13.6mm x 1.6mm and weighs 1.6g. Weight 2 is 12.6mm x 12.6mm x 1.4mm and weighs 0.9g. Similar coin weights are illustrated in Withers, p.21.
