A base sherd of a Roman Vectis Ware ceramic vessel (c. 43-c. AD 350 AD). The coarse ware fabric is brownish grey and reddish close to the inner surface. No indication of a burnished surface.
The breaks are old.

'Vectis ware is hand-made, well finished and relatively hard, being barely scratched with the fingernail. A post-medieval cast copper-alloy 'S'-shaped strap or belt fastener (c. 1575-c. 1800 AD).
The fastener has two swan or serpent head terminals with necks that curve to form hooks. Each head has a finely moulded beak and eyes, and patterning on the neck possibly represent feathers or scales. The necks narrow below the heads before expanding towards the centre of the fastener. At the centre, on both faces, there is a moulded flower-head motif. Attached to one of the hooks is a circular wire copper-alloy ring which is circular in cross-section and has an outer diameter of 12.63mm.

A Neolithic flint side-end scraper (3500 BC- 2100 BC).
This scraper has been made on a secondary flake and is sub-circular in plan, pointed oval in cross-section. The dorsal face has several flake scars and has been worked almost all the way around the edge. The removals are abrupt, cross abrupt and semi-abrupt; short and scaled. The flat ventral face has a striking platform and a bulb of percussion at the proximal end.
This implement is shiny and brownish grey and has a tiny area of buff cortex on the dorsal face near the distal end.

A Neolithic flint 'horseshoe' scraper (3500 BC- 2100 BC).
This scraper has been made on a tertiary flake and is sub-rectangular in plan, roughly 'D'-shaped in cross-section. The dorsal face has three major flake scars and has been worked almost all the way around the edge. The removals are abrupt and semi-abrupt, short and scaled.
The flat ventral face has several ripples but has no bulb of percussion. It has an oval formation near one end where there is a hinge fracture. It is unclear what age this fracture may be.
This implement is light grey with some off-white areas.

A complete Neolithic flint side scraper (3500 BC- 2100 BC).
This scraper has been made on a secondary flake and is sub-oval in plan, pointed oval in cross-section. The dorsal face has about 50% buff cortex, on side has a large flake scar and the opposite side has pressure flaked removals throughout its length. These are low angled, long and sub-parallel.
The slightly humped ventral face has a bulb of percussion with a percussion scar and no ripples. The distal end has been worked over most of its length and these are low angled, short and scaled.

A complete and corroded post-Medieval cast copper-alloy finger-ring (c. 1650-c. 1750 AD).
This ring has a plain hoop and an oval bezel which measures 18.56 x 14.45mm. The upper face of the bezel has incised decoration consisting of six evenly spaced eight-pointed stars in oval formation with another similar star at the centre. An oval groove forms a border close to the outer edge. The rounded shoulders taper from the bezel towards the lower part of the hoop.
The ring has a slightly misshapen hoop. It is corroded and has patches of a dark grey patina.

The mount is moulded at the front and largely concave at the rear and is in the form of an escallop shell. At the front the ridges of the shell are defined by eight or nine radiating grooves. The copper-alloy buckle frame is 'D'-shaped in plan and measures 17.19 x 22.13 x 5.12mm. It has a swollen outer edge, oval in cross-section, with a shallow pin rest on its upper face. Disc 1: A pine-cone, the heraldic badge of the city of Augsburg, Germany, stars in field.
Disc 2: Largely missing. The stub of the rivet has an ornate initial letter A of the placename.
The joining strip is missing.

The sub-rectangular suspension loop at the top is 11.80mm high, 14.55mm wide and 3.95mm thick and has a sub-square perforation. The upper and lower hemispheres are divided equally by a horizontal circumferential joining rib.
