A fragment of a copper-alloy Roman finger ring.
Only the bezel and shoulders of the ring survive. The bezel has a raised oval cell at its centre. The main inset is of dark blue enamel; four circular depressions have been created within the surface of the blue, arranged in a cross shape. Two of these cells retain red enamel insets, while the other two are empty. A flat-surfaced, octagonal area surrounds the cell, the sides of the shoulders angling inwards, towards what would have been a relatively narrow hoop. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman trumpet derivative brooch. Only part of the trumpet head survives, the remainder of the brooch now missing due to old breaks. The head is trumpet shaped, undecorated and with the remains of a possible incomplete headloop at the top and incomplete flaring sides.
