An incomplete cast copper-alloy strap end of Medieval date. Only one of the plates and possibly a small section of the spacer survive intact, the remainder of the object now missing due to old breaks. The surviving plate is flat, rectangular in form with a lis-shaped terminal knop above which are a series of teo semi-circular notched to either side of the plate. A Medieval cast copper alloy composite strap end with a forked spacer. The strap end has a concave attachment end with circular knotch in the centre and two rivets either side. There is a lozenge shaped knop on the bottom. The strap end is 43.3mm long, 18.1mm wide, 4.7mm thick and weighs 13.2 grams. Composite strap ends with a forked spacer date to c.1270-1400 AD.

A decorative border of rockered ornament follows two adjacent edges, and wanders off - or the edges are lost or worn - on the other two. Suggested date: Late Medieval, 1350-1450. Length: 25.9mm, Width: 12mm, Thickness: 0.8mm, Weight: 1.29gms.

A late Saxon copper alloy strap end belonging to Haldenby's Group 16 (cross-hatched types). The strap end has a split end with two intact rivets. The terminal is zoomorphic and has flat ears. On the body are two symmetrically opposed panels comprising ornate frames infilled with cross-hatching. Between the frames is a cross. At the attachment end is a D-shaped slightly hollow area which appears to contain the remains of a silver inlay.

A corroded and worn small copper-alloy strap end of probable Medieval date (c. AD 1250-1500). This artefact is broadly rectangular in plan and tapers to narrow in width through the length of the body to terminate in a small round knop. This artefact is formed of two flat in section plates which have been joined by two copper-alloy rivets and which are retained in situ. It is green in colour, and the form of this strap end can be paralleled by Egan (1991: 142), although these are of a different construction.

It is a Thomas Class B, Type 6 type with a wedge shaped split end, one side of which is missing due to old breaks, with a tongue depicting a sinuous beast. The beast is at 90 degrees to the attachment end. It measures 61.19mm in length, 7.91mm in width, 8.86mm in thickness and weighs 12.83g.

A cast copper-alloy strap end of Medieval date. It is a folded strap end with the back shorter than the front and with no rivet holes. There are two rivet holes at the attachment end of the front face for seperately cast circular rivets with globular heads, both of which are present. There is an engraved border around the edge of the front face. The whole object is gilded. It measures 25.91mm in length, 18.29mm in width, 0.81mm in thickness and weighs 2.72g. It is similar to examples published from London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991, no 582).

A cast copper alloy strap end. In plan the strap end is an elongated sub-oval. The strap end has decoration on the upper plate which has an abraded animal head terminal. Behind the head there is a single panel depicting an elongated triple stranded 'X' shape formed by to crescents back-to-back. These are linear and ribbed. In the fields around this 'X' shape there are further small blocks. A plate from a copper alloy Medieval strap end dating from 1270 - 1450 AD. The plate is tongue shaped with a scalloped attachment edge and round grooved aperture flanked by a copper alloy rivet with a flat head on each side. The closed end is pointed and has a projecting pointed tip. The reverse shows a scar where the forked spacer was soldered. The metal is grey green and probably has a high tin content. Compare number 653 and 654 on page 142 of Egan and Pritchard's Dress Accessories.

It has a small knop on the outside edge and circular holes for two seperately cast rivets, one at each end. The one at the attachment end is missing. There is no decoration. It measures 20.60mm in length, 16.14mm in width, 2.35mm in thickness and weighs 2.62g. It is similar to examples published from London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991, nos 694 and 696).
