Extremely well-preserved cast copper-alloy socketed side-looped spear of Acton Park 2, Greenwell and Brewis' Class IV, dating from the early Middle Bronze Age, c. 1600-1400BC. The spearhead is complete, the blade and socket undamaged with a smooth chocolate-brown patina showing hardly any sign of decay at all. There are only a few patchy areas of corrosion on the surface, towards the tip and around the socket. A knapped flint discoidal scraper of Early to Middle Bronze Age date. The scraper is discoidal, with flakes struck from both faces, and approximately 75% of the outer edge pressure-flaked. The flint is a honey brown colour with two patches of white outer cortex visible on one face.

A blade fragment of Middle/ Late Bronze Age (1300-900 BC) copper alloy dagger, consisting of part of the blade just below the shoulders. It measures 46.51x26.45x2.67mm and weighs 12.02g. One end is slightly wider and flatter (26.45x1.70mm) than the other (16.32x2.03mm), and presumably extends from the missing shoulders. On both faces is a broad flat mid-rib and the edges are bevelled. On one face the midrib shows signs of hammering along its length. A fragment of Middle/ Late Bronze Age (c.1300 BC - 900 BC) copper alloy probable rapier, consisting of part of the blade just below the shoulders. It measures 37.14x(max)17.63x(max)3.99mm and weighs 8.3g. One end is slightly wider and flatter (17.63x1.63mm) than the other (15.67x3.99mm), and presumably extended from the shoulders. The narrower end is lozenge-shaped at the break, the wider end also but much more shallowly. Both breaks are ancient. A fragment from the blade of a Bronze Age rapier, or possibly a dirk or dagger. The surviving fragment is rectangular in form, pointed oval in section and terminates at both ends in old breaks. The surfaces are extremely worn and pitted with no visible signs of use-wear or tool marks and only traces of the original dark brown/green patina visible. It is probably of Middle Bronze Age date, about 1,500-1,150 BC. Compare SF-D3CE33, KENT-2644F0 and KENT-258DF1.

A complete cast copper alloy developed flat axe of dating from the Early to Middle Bronze Age. The axe is a narrow butted flat axe with a median bevel / proto stop ridge 52.70mm from the butt end. It has straight sides, a rounded butt and a flared cutting edge with concave shoulders. The cutting edge is crescentric in plan and measures 1.68mm thick. The point before the prepared cutting edge measures 9.86mm thick. The butt is 17.68mm wide and 1.29mm thick, and the width at the median bevel / proto stop ridge is 26.96mm. BURNHAM HOARD 2010 T509: item 9.M Winged Axehead Incomplete cast copper alloy winged axe, the blade end is missing. The butt end has a wide 'H' shaped cross section, which becomes more rectangular towards the broken edge. There are two wings on the upper and lower surfaces which curve towards eachother, but the ends do not touch. There is a side loop which is filled with corrosion products. Length: 69.27mm. The loop is 23.06mm long, 6.41mm thick. 32.70mm wide, 38.03mm thick at central point. 12.54mm thick tapering to 6.19mm on the body. wings are 5.15mm thick. Weight: 222g

Cast copper alloy flat axe dating from the Early Bronze Age, that is c. 2150-1500BC. The axe is narrow with tapering sides and there are no signs of a stop ridge. It has a rounded butt and a flared cutting edge with concave shoulders. The axe is extremely worn and the original surface has now corroded away. There is a small possibilty that it was decorated, but judging from the slightly tapering sides it is probably an earlier flat axe (that is from c. 2150-1700BC) rather than a later one from the Migdale metalworking tradition.
