An Early Medieval, copper-alloy stirrup terminal with trilobate, foot-like form. At the top is an incomplete tube which runs with open reverse down the back of the terminal; it flares to a closed end on the reverse at the lower end. The tube would have fitted around the iron stirrup and the inside and edges of the tube have some signs of iron corrosion staining. An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of post-medieval date. The buckle has a double loop and is asymmetrical with a narrowed strap bar. The pin no longer survives. The metal is a grey in colour with traces of silvering remain on the surface of the buckle. The buckle is 25.86mm long, 17.20mm wide, 1.9mm thick and weighs 2.6g. A similar example is illustrated in Whitehead, p.90, no.562 and is dated to circa 1575 - 1700. Also DENO-92ECA4 and YORYM-F4BE22

An incomplete cast copper alloy furniture fitting of uncertain date - posssibly from the Roman period. This fitting consists of a hollow copper alloy mount with large central projecting boss / knob. The sides of the boss have an iron filled transverse hole / piercing (diameter: 4.5mm) which may once have held a small handle / swivel. The underside of the mount is concave and filled with the corroded remains of an iron shank. The artefact is heavily abraded around its rim and has a well developed green patina. A fragment of a cast copper-alloy drop handle of the post-medieval period. The fragment consists of the rectangular hanging loop from the top of the handle. The loop has pointed protrusions at each corner and there is a ropework pattern on the bottom side of the hanging loop. The fragment is a dark red brown in colour. Cast copper alloy buckle frame dating from the post-medieval period, that is c. 17th century. The frame is complete and in good condition, but the pin (possibly made from iron) is missing. It is decorated with pointed ends with ovoid knops on the corners of the frame. Notch for pin on the outside edge of each loop. Lobed protusions either end of the strap bar.

A fragment of a Post-Medieval cast lead alloy Harness Boss, circa AD1600 -AD1800. The piece represents the remains of a once circular lead casting, which has a surface decoration of vines, leaves, and clusters of fruit. It has a central, slightly raised convex disc 12.1mm in diameter. The reverse side shows the remains of one fixing point. The fragment measures 53mm in length, width 47.5mm, has a thickness of 5.0mm, and weighs 36.2g. The surface design is clear, but the fabric of the piece is fragile/cracked. A similar example can be found on the Database, LVPL-2FB002.
