The bezel, or tooth, fragment of a cast copper alloy Ring Key of Roman date. The key is square with a rectangular slot with a horizontal groove above and below. The ring frame is 2.5mm wide and approximately 20mm in diameter. The bezel/bit is 15mm wide and 13mm high.

A fragment of drak brown stone with high percentage og quartzite and grit inclusions. Rectangular in section, and trapezoidal in plan due to the breaks, the lowers srface is uneven and broken, while the upper surface is smooth and slightly concave. The basic form of the upper surface and nature fo the stone suggest that this may be a fragment of quern stone of Roman date. Several quernstones can be found on this database for comparison.

A body sherd fragment of samian ware, or terra sigilata, pottrey of Roman date. The dark orange-red slip suggests that this may have been produced in either Southern or Central Gaul. samian ware was exported from gaul from teh First to Third centuries AD. The vessel was probably a shallow bowl and has some roulette decoration around it.

An incomplete copper-alloy Colchester two-piece brooch, dating from the mid to late 1st century AD. The horizontal wings take the form of a half-cylinder, at the centre of which there is a perforated lug containing the axis bar. Immediately above this lug is a second such lug containing the external chord, which holds in place the seven surviving coils of the spring. The pin is missing.
