A small silver medieval book clasp, of Howsam type A.9.1, probably 14th to 15th century in date. The clasp comprises two sheets of silver. The upper sheet has two folds, forming the upper surface and two sides of a rectangular box with a circular terminal. The lower surface of the rectangular box and circular terminal is formed of a flat sheet. The upper and lower parts have been riveted together, with the remains of a strap surviving between. Description: A complete silver Early-Medieval hooked tag with a circular plate and two protruding pierced lobes for attachment. The edge of the plate is decorated with a border of pellets made from a groove within multiple transverse lines; the effect is of a ladder pattern or rope pattern. Inside the border, the plate is divided into seven fields by four diagonal lines of the same rope or ladder pattern formed into two V shapes, one inverted and one the right way up. An incomplete Medieval cast copper-alloy 'locking buckle' (c. AD 1350-c. 1450). In plan, the frame is rectangular with slightly rounded corners. The outer edge is 4.88mm in width and 3.24mm in thickness and is rabbeted throughout its width to accept and secure the U-shaped arm attached to the pin bar. The end of the bar is missing due to a break. There is a small notch on the upper face of the outer edge for a pin-rest. Incomplete Roman silver finger ring weighing 7.97g, oval in plan. Approximately a quarter of the D sectioned hoop is missing. The oval bezel is empty as the setting is missing, except for a deposit of white fixative. The shoulders are convex with an arc of patterning made of incised dots and small dashes in two lines curving towards the hoop of the ring, away from the bezel, over the shoulders. A copper-alloy Roman finger ring of Henig Type XI, inscribed 'TOT'. The hoop is oval in plan and D-shaped in cross-section with a pronounced rib running down the exterior. The rib widens at the top to form a falt, rectangular raised bezel with a ledge above and below. The bezel bears an abbreviation of the Celtic god-name Totatis. 'TOT' rings date to the 2nd and 3rd centuries and are concentrated in the East Midlands, especially in Lincolnshire.

A spherical hollow iron pommel from a large medieval sword, such as a broad sword. The pommel comprises a hollow ball with an opening to take the tang and two smaller openings to take a fitting by which means the tang was secured in place. The pommel is bound with six thin copper alloy bands which radiate from the smaller openings. There also appears to be a thin copper alloy wire arranged around the vertical axis. A very similar example comes from Oxfordshire (BERK-65B4A2). A date range for both in the region of c1200-1400 seems reasonable.

A large steelyard weight of composite construction, in the form of an acorn. The weight comprises two cases and a lead filling. The cases form the cup and fruit of the acorn. The cup is formed from a copper alloy which would have appeared yellow. The fruit is formed from a copper alloy with a high tin content and would have appeared grey.
