A complete knapped lithic arrowhead of late Neolithic date. The object is sub-triangular in plan with a flared base and has been retouched around the edges. The flint is a mid whitish-orange colour. This arrowhead is of the Late Neolithic 'Transverse type' dating to circa 2800 - 2300 BC.

An incomplete knapped lithic arrowhead of Bronze Age date. The object is triangular in plan with two notches in the base between the central tang and a barb to either side. The surface has been invasively retouched. The tip of one barb has been lost. The flint is a mid brownish-black colour. This arrowhead is of Green's 'Sutton type C' and dates to circa 2000 - 1500 BC.

A lithic implement dating from the Neolithic to mid-Bronze Age. The object is thumb-nail shaped in plan and D-shaped in cross-section. The dorsal (upper) face has several depressions and nicks which may be due to natural weathering. Some retouch is visible on the outer edge. The ventral (lower) face is rough and uneven with numerous nicks. It is likely that the damage occurred naturally and it may have been a piece of flint knapping waste which was lightly re-touched and used. The implement is made from a pinkish brown coloured flint.

The internal face is a reddish brown while the external face is glazed with a patchy white and green glaze. The internal fabric is compact with no inclusions and is brown. The object is decorated with a thumb print which may have occurred while pressing on the handle.

An incomplete vessel fragment dating to the Medieval period. The object is a rim fragment of a lid-seated jar. The object has a sub-rectangular outer rim and a raised internal ridge which would have supported a lid giving it a Y-shaped profile. Below the rim on the outer face are two parallel ridges. The outer face is pinkish orange in colour with patches of mid-green glaze. The internal face has a mid-green matt glaze. The internal fabric is compact with no inclusions and is mid-brown in colour.

Copper alloy jetton dating to the Medieval period. Obverse: worn; field of France with fleur-de-lis. Reverse: worn; quartered field of France (3 lis) - Dauphine (dolphin, bowed and holding purse in mouth). The object has been pierced with a large perforation on one edge and a small perforation on the opposite edge. The object has a mid green patina. Similar examples can be found on p214, Mitchiner, vol I, (1988).

Cast copper alloy double looped oval buckle dating to the Post-Medieval period. The frame is sub D-shaped in cross-section. At either end of the strap bar is an oval moulded decoration each side of the strap bar. The remains of an iron pin is attached to the strap bar and is corroded. File marks can be seen on the loop without corrosion. The object has a dark green patina. Examples of similar buckles can be found on p54, Whitehead, (2003). It can be dated from c.1500-1650AD.

At each end of the strap bar are two small grooves on the outer edge of the frame. The buckle can be dated to c.1350-1650. It has a light green patina and shows signs of corrosion.

A Medieval copper alloy cruciform mount (1066-1500). The mount is flat and made from a sheet of copper alloy. It is in the form of an equal-armed cross where each arm expands towards the end, so that each arm resembles a truncated triangle. In the centre of the object is a raised circular rivet the rear of which is missing. A series of punched dots surround the rivet and border each arm of the cross. Within each cross arm are two grooves mirroring the shape of each arm. The rear of the object is undecorated. The object has a dark green patina and is in good condition.

An incomplete cast copper alloy harness pendant dating to the Medieval period. The object is cross-shaped in plan with concave internal corners and two notches in the end of each arm, making them trilobate or pseudo fleuretty. The front of the object is worn and corroded. There is no visible decoration. The rear of the object is plain. A hole is punched in the centre of the object from front to back. The hole contains a circular sectioned copper alloy rivet which is bent at a right angle at the rear of the object and tapers to a flattened point. The rivet is secured by a sub-oval wash…

Cast copper alloy strap end dating to the Medieval period. The object is rectangular in plan and cross-section. It consists of a single sheet of copper alloy folded length ways and secured with a single rivet at the open end. The rivet is copper alloy and remains in-situ. A small fragment of possible leather remains between within the object. Each face of the object is undecorated. It has a mid-green patina. Similar examples of can be found in Egan and Pritchard, (1991), p131. The object can be dated to the 14th century.

Cast copper alloy thimble dating to the Medieval period. The object is circular in plan is domed at the top. The thimble is covered with irregular pits which are larger towards the base. The base of the object has a rim which is uneven in width and thickness. It has a light green patina. The domed crown and irregular pits date the object from the Medieval to the Tudor period, P48 Cuddeford, (1994).

A lead alloy uniface token probably dating from the Medieval period. The sub-circular token is unusually thick (5.2mm) and has rounded edges. The design is a square with concave sides divided in half by a line, all executed in raised lines with pellets at key points. There are further pellets at the edge of the flan in two quarters. This design would seem to fit best in Powell's Class 9.

A fragment of a ceramic vessel which has been mended with a blob of lead alloy, dating from the Medieval period. The fabric is light grey on the inside and tan on the outside. It is fairly hard and fine textured. The fabric is sandy with small rounded grey and red inclusions. The outer face has traces of a yellow glaze.
