Cast lead alloy conical weight with corroded remains of an iron suspension loop at the top. The weight has an oval base with a indent in the centre, tapering sides and a rounded top. It is 28.5 by 24.9mm on the base 36.3mm tall and weighs 118 grams. It may have acted as a steelyard weight. Plain lead weights are usually locally made for individual uses and hard to date precisely although most are Medieval or Post Medieval.

A complete cast lead weight of uncertain date. The weight is tubular with a circular cross section and an off central circular hole running throughout its length. While the exact function of this object is unknown it is likely to be a net weight or similar. The metal is a mid whitish-grey colour and is worn. The weight is 20.6mm long, 12.2mm in diameter and weighs 19.5g. Plain weights were cast for a wide variety of uses from the Roman period onwards and are hard to date precisely although most are medieval to post-medieval.

A complete cast lead spindle whorl of uncertain date. The object is bi-conical in plan with a narrow central perforation set within a recessed circular area. The spindle whorl is undecorated. The metal is a mid brownish-white colour and is worn. The spindle whorl is 24.5mm in diameter, 14.4mm thick and weighs 43.2g. Lead spindle whorls were commonly used from the Iron Age through to the post-medieval period and are difficult to date with any certainty. Decorated examples are thought to date to the medieval to post-medieval periods while undecorated examples cannot be securely date…
