Wheel thrown body sherd of a Roman samian fineware vessel. There is decoration on the sherd obtained through use of a mould. The decoration is fragmentary but appears to depict human leg form and the edge of a central motif. The fabric is pink-orange and the majority of the red-orange slip remains. Possibly imported Central Gaulish ware and part of a Dragendorff form 29/37 decorated bowl.

A barbed and tanged flint arrowhead of probable early Bronze Age date. The object measures 23.1mm high by 15mm wide and 3.8mm thick. The main part of the body is triangular in shape, extending to a sharp point at the top and terminating in a barb at one of the bottom corners. The opposite corner has been broken off in antiquity. The tang is sub-rectangular and measures 6.5mm long by 5.3mm wide. Both surfaces of the object are convex and have been formed by pressure flaking. Moulded rim sherd of a Roman amphora. The fabric is a pale orange colour with medium sized black and brown grit inclusions and is very worn. There is no decoration. Possibly from a North African cylindrical form amphora.
Amphoras were used in the Roman period to transport wine, fish sauce and olive oil among other products.

A copper-alloy As of Vespasian (AD 69-79), PROVIDENT, Altar, probably mint of Lugdunum, AD 71 or 77-8. The surfaces are heavily worn and corroded and a hole has been pierced near to the edge in order to convert the coin into a pendant. It measures 26mm diameter by 2.6mm thick and weighs 8.2g.

Upper half of a 'Head-stud' brooch. Apart from the absence of the stud and the pin that remains is complete, including the suspension loop which is made out of wire and has an enamelled collar (enamel being blue). Both wings and the spine of the brooch have recesses for containing enamel, now missing.
