A Modern copper alloy button, dating to the 19th century. This is a hollow, composite button, with a convex front and flat back. There is a groove around the edge of the back plate and there is a scar where the shank would have been. The shank is broken and missing. A lead alloy seal, probably a cloth seal, probably dating from 1821. It consists of two circular discs of lead connected by a narrow strip that is folded so that the discs are pressed together. One disc has a hole in the centre through which is passed an integral rivet from the other disc. This is then squashed flat when the seal is stamped. On one disc are letters in three lines reading (?)/NE(L)/EL (the first letter being either an I or a T). Copper penny token issued by John Williams III (1753-1841) of Scorrier House, Redruth which was bought by him in 1778 when he was running Scorrier Mine. Cut sheet copper alloy shoe or clog clasp (male fitting), which would have been used with a similar hasp (female fitting) to secure a wooden shoe (overshoe) to the foot. The clasp is rectangular with a small incomplete sub-rectangular projection (hook) on one edge and an irregular lozenge shaped projection at the other. The small hook is abraded and incomplete; at the opposite end, the projection is broadly shaped like an anchor and was used to secure the clasp to the fabric. A complete cast copper alloy barrel tap of late post-medieval to modern date. The barrel tap has a circular sectioned spigot which tapers towards the end for fitting into the barrel. The end is capped by a circular element with four perforations. Four rows of five holes are present at the open end followed by an area of fine longitudinal striations at the wider end. A silver brooch of probable modern date. Approximately 305 of the brooch has been broken away by an old break. It is broadly circular in plan with five lugs emerging from the edge. There is molded decoration on the front surface of the brooch in the form of a central knot surrounded by a ring of smaller knots. A broken hinge can be seen on the undecorated reverse. The decorative style and form of the hinge suggest a modern date, probably c.1800-1900.
