Medieval copper alloy mount with enameling. The very small mount is lozenge shaped and flat with a raised biorder and a recessed centre inside which is a raised fleur de lis. the recessed area is filled with the remains of blue enamel, some degraded. A dot of red on the fleur de lis is probably corrosion rather than enamel and it was probably originally gilded as on the French and English arms (from 1340 AD). The back is plain. There are circular holes through the mount at the top and bottom points The upper one still has the seperate copper alloy rivet through it. It is 13.5mm long b…

Copper alloy with white metal plating Possible mount fragment. Cast flat-backed strip with a curved end, a slightly raised rectangular field, and a possible collared at the other end of the object, where it is probably broken.
