It measures 13.49mm in diameter and weighs 0.6g. The coin contains a copper-alloy wedge which was added to negate counterfeiting.

Silver half crown of Charles I, Initial Mark: P within circle dated 1643/1644. The Equestrian portrait is similar to the Fourth Horseman - however - it differs subtley in that the tail does not curve beneath the legs and that the horse is stretch to fill the coin.

An extremely worn struck Post Medieval silver Shilling of Charles I (1625-49 AD). Tower mint, probably under Parliament, 1642-8. In addition to severe wear on the surface of the coin, it has torn on the outer edges in multiple places and has been rippled, probably due to soil compression.
