A fragment of a glass vessel of post-medieval date. The fragment is sub-rectangular and very thick producing a dark blackish-green colour. Due to the relatively small portion of glass now remaining it is not possible to determine the exact nature of the vessel from which it originated. The glass fragment is 60.8mm long, 31.3mm wide, 8.4mm thick and weighs 28.2g.

The front face is decorated with a punched design consisting of two lozenge shapes, one within the other, and a series of irregular shapes in the resulting inner and outer cells. The figures appear to have short cropped hair and be wearing ruffs; an item of clothing worn popular from the mid-sixteenth century to the mid-seventeenth century. The metal has a mid reddish-brown patina and is worn. The object is 30.6mm long, 23.9mm wide, 3.4mm thick and weighs 7.8g.
