The upper half of a cast copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative brooch (possibly Dolphin type) dating to the 1st century AD. The pierced semicircular lug is situated below the wings with a possible second lug above which has abraded through. Nothing of the axis bar or spring mechanism survives. The leg and foot from a corroded cast copper-alloy Roman bow brooch of probable 1st-century AD date. The triangular catch-plate survives well and has a sub-triangular perforation. The curved element which retains the pin is 15.5mm long, with abrasions at both ends. It is delineated by a longitudinal groove. The bow is broken just above the catch-plate; it can be seen to be broadly triangular in cross-section. The brooch has a variable mid-green patina.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman chatelaine type plate brooch (c. 2nd century AD). It is missing part of the plate, bar lugs, suspension bar and the pin due to old breaks. The plate has suffered losses and abrasions to the top edge and sides, resulting mainly in the loss of probable lugs. The central conical knop survives well, as does the lower edge of the plate. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman Hod Hill type brooch, dating to the 1st century AD. The object is sub-rectangular in cross-section. The incomplete hinged head is rolled over the iron axis bar. The brooch tapers to a rectangular collar before narrowing at the waist. The bow expands slightly before tapering towards two raised horizontal collars. After this the bow tapers towards the foot which is incomplete. The bow is decorated with two raised vertical ridges. The foot is missing and only a small amount of the catch-plate remains on the reverse. The hinge and pin are missing.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy lozengeform brooch with of Medieval date c. 1200 - 1500. The brooch is lozengeform in plan and triangular in cross section. The outer edge of the frame is decorated with a horizontal groove, the inside edge has eleven circular recesses presumably for settings which are now missing with a groove in between each recess, each groove does not run along the full width of the brooch. The perforation for the pin is located in a corner of the brooch. The reverse is flat and undecorated.

A corroded fragment from a cast copper-alloy annular brooch of medieval date. The fragment consists of a curved rod, the frame of circular cross-section, to which two separately moulded mounts have been attached. The first applied shape is of a six-petalled flower (sexfoil), with recesses defining the petals. The other is lozengiform with an incised border within which an incised lozenge with a saltire connecting the centre of each of its sides. There is a gap of 7.4mm between the applied elements. The fragment has corroded to a variable mid-green colour.

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman crossbow brooch of 3rd - early 4th century date. There is an integral, collared, bi-conical knop with a large central pellet on top on the surviving end of the rectangular sectioned crossbar and at the top of the bow. Only a vestigial of the other end of the cross bar and the bow survive. The collars on the knops are decorated with a ropework design. The brooch appears to be a Keller type 3/4 and a Prottel type 3/4 which date from 325 - 410 AD. There is a veritcal incision running along the survivng section of the reverse and the knop at the top of the bow.

The object is formed from a silver penny of William I (1066-1087) which has been modified into a brooch or badge. The reverse has been gilded, and brooch fittings attached by four rivets arranged at the points of a rectangle.
