An incomplete cast copper-alloy handle from a barrel tap of modern date, pelta shaped and attached to the remainder of the object by the central section which has broken off due to an old break. The inside edges of the loops and the outside edge of the main curve are bevelled from a central ridge, possibly the remains of smoothed casting seams. The inside edges are densely covered in fine, transverse filemarks.
