An Iron Age early uninscribed British B 'Chute' type gold Durotrigian stater, measuring 17-18mm, weighing 6.19g, reverse dished, some wear. Obverse: Abstract head of Apollo facing right Reverse: Disjointed horse going left Coins of this type were produced in the Dorset-Wiltshire-Isle of Wight area in around 80-60 BC. During the late Iron Age this area is thought to have been inhabited by a people known as the Durotriges. Reference: Van A 1205-1; BMC 35-76; ABC 746

Copper alloy Brooch. Nauheim Derivative, possibly Mackreth (2011) class 4b2, which is defined as being distinguished by fluting down the bow. One piece brooch with pin, three coiled spring and a narrow straight-sided bow tapered at its end, with an integral unpierced catch-plate. The diagnostic fluting amounts to pronounced borders to a rectangular section bow, with a central longitudinal rib flanked by gutters, all giving out at the pointed foot where the catch-plate lies. A cast copper alloy brooch of Middle Iron Age Type 2L c.300-150 BC. The brooch has a fat rounded body, hollowed on the back. At the upper end is an integral transverse circular-section bar (half of which is missing, and originally c20mm in length) which is partly decorated with encircling grooves. The head of the brooch is decorated with similar grooves arranged in a chevron formation. A fragment of a late Iron Age to Early Roman, cast copper alloy brooch of the Birdlip type, dating from 50BC-50AD. Only the central part of the brooch remains, the top of the bow, the pin and the foot are missing and only a small part of the catchplate survives. A fragment of a handmade ceramic vessel of probable Iron Age to date. The fragment is a body sherd with an abraded soapy fabric of a dark brownish-black colour with an orangey-red outer surface. The exterior is oxidised with an un-oxidised core. Numerous large gritty inclusions are present though it is not possible to determine their exact nature. The fragment is 31.1mm long, 28.1mm wide, 10.3mm thick and weighs 9.8g.

An Iron Age blue and white glass bead with copper alloy ring, probably dating 800BC - AD100. The bead is circular with a single, large perforation through the centre. The bead is blue glass with raised knops which are decorated with spirals of white glass. There are single knops alternate with pairs of knops around the outer surface of the bead. A fragment of a cast copper alloy later Iron Age or early Roman bow brooch of Birdlip type. What survives is the upper part and a fragment of the bow. The fragment includes the prominent 'beak' as well as the dished housing for the spring. Behind the housing is a prominent collar and a wide rounded groove. A series of notches decorates a semi-circular 'plate' above the beak.

An incomplete copper alloy Late Iron Age/ Early Roman La Tène III (AD 20-100) simple one-piece or Nauheim derivative type brooch. It is missing the lower bow and catchplate, and the pin is bent to one side. The brooch measures 43.26mm in length and weighs 4.23g.
