Description: An incomplete silver-gilt finger ring of medieval date. The finger ring consists of a slender hoop, roughly half of which has been lost to old breaks, which widens into a double bezel. The shoulders to either side of the bezel are decorated with worn moulded elements which probably represent animal heads. The bezel splits into two from the shoulders expanding into shallow conical settings which would most probably have contained glass or enamel. Patches of irregular gilding remain upon the surface of the finger ring.
