It is probably class 6c3 minted at York (1209 - 1217), but could also be class 4-7a. It was minted by Peres, Pieres or Pires at Winchester, York, Durham or Chichester. See North number 976/3.

A fragment of a Medieval silver coin: a cut long cross farthing of Henry III (1216-72) dating from 1247 - 1272. A small piece of the coin at the inner end has broken away and is missing. In addition this coin appears to have been heavily clipped, as all of the legend on both sides is also missing. It is 10.1mm long, 5.9mm wide and 0.5mm thick. It weighs 0.11gm.
