A silver gilt Medieval pin from a brooch dating from about 1250 - 1350 AD. The pin is rectangular in section with a bevelled upper face and tapers to the point. At the other end is a wide transverse collar decorated with a groove and an attachment loop. The loop is also decorated with a groove along its centre, flanked by faint beading. The pin can be compared to 2011 T559.
This object fulfils the Treasure Act (1996) in that it contains more than 10% gold or silver and is over 300 years old.
