Description: A thimble made of sheet silver, dating to the 17th century AD. Badly damaged/ crushed and split down the length of the wall. The crown is missing. At the base of the thimble, creating a border around the circumference is a plain band, followed by a rope like decoration which borders both sides of a thick plain band. Within the band are the initials 'CT', which have been stippled/ punched out. The body of the thimble is decorated with regular circular indentations. A cast copper-alloy hooked tag of Post-Medieval date. It is a Read Class E, type 3 tag with a rectangular attachment loop surmounting an openwork circular plate. At the base of the plate is a collar comprising two bands leading to the integrally cast hook which is complete. The decoration in the centre of the plate is too worn to be identified. It measures 26.19mm in length, 14.11mm in width, 1.59mm in thickness and weighs 1.81g. It is similar to published examples (Read, 2008, no 339).

A worn, cast copper-alloy open-topped thimble or sewing ring of probable later Medieval to Post-Medieval date. The rim is unthickened and there are four rows of evenly spaced dots running around the ring. It is slightly tapered. It measures 10.48mm in height, 20.54mm in diameter at the base, 19.09mm in diameter at top, 1.14mm in thickness, and weighs 5.87g. The use of a thimble with an open top suggests a date range in the 15th to 16th centuries AD (see Holmes, 1988).

A cast copper-alloy strap loop of Medieval date. It is five sided and rectangular in section. The attachment edge has a central circular hole for the seperately cast rivet which is missing. It measures 20.95mm in length, 16.64mm in width, 3.91mm in thickness and weighs 2.06g. It is similar to examples published from London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991, no 1252).

An incomplete cast copper-alloy bodkin of Post-medieval date. It is rectangular in shape and in section and has openings, one circular, the other longitudinal. The circular opening is within an oval knop on the end of the object. The other end is missing due to old breaks. At the top end of the longitudinal opening there is a transverse engraved line on both sides of the bodkin. At the opposite end is a slight narrowing of the shaft. It measures 37.67mm in length, 4.93mm in width, 1.72mm in thickness and weighs 1.68g.

The butterfly-shaped side has three circular holes for seperately cast rivets which are present. The other has two holes for rivets which are also present. There is no decoration. It measures 25.88mm in length, 19.34mm in width, 1.72mm in thickness and weigh 4.35g.

A pair of copper-alloy tweezers of probable medieval date. They are complete and have a tightly folded loop which appears to have the remains of the suspension loop within it. The arms are very slightly flared and are bent at the end to form a pincer shape. Approximately one third from the end is a metal bar which is bent around the arms which would have been used to secure them when not in use. A cast copper-alloy buckle frame of Medieval date. It is a double oval frame which is d-shaped in section and slightly angled. The bar is narrowed for the pin which is present. The pin is seperately cast and is bent around the bar. It us rectangular in section and tapers to a point. On the outside of both sides of the frame is an oval knop which is flat backed and is decorated on the face. The decoration could be foliate or be a face but it is too worn to see clearly. It measures 47.29mm in length, 20.15mm in width, 2.34mm in thickness and weighs 5.76g.
