Roman Coin: Nummus. The obverse depicts a right facing, diademed or laureate bust. The reverse depicts a standing figure, left arm extended upwards holding a standard or spear. The right arm extends out, however the coin is incomplete, making it unclear if anything is held in the right hand. The reverse type is most similar to Reece 128 ‘emperor facing holding standard and a victory’, dating 350-353AD, or Reece 135 ‘emperor standing with globe and spear’, dating 357-361AD. It is likely that this coin is of the House of Constantine. The legends on both faces are completely worn.…
