Incomplete Early Medieval supporting arm brooch made from copper alloy. The brooch has a pronounced D-shaped bow, which expands out to form a triangular head. The head is sub-triangular in cross section and measures 24.09mm across; it is 4.79mm thick at the terminals. There is only one surviving projection on the reverse of the head, and this is very worn. Four petals surround, which are comprised of 'heart-shaped' wire se…

A copper alloy polyhedral pinhead with traces of gilding. The pin has a small length of circular-sectioned shaft surviving, with a ridged collar below the head. The head has four sides and a top with a central lozenge-shape cell and faceted triangular corner cells. The central lozenge has a border of two concentric ridges and is hollow at the sides. It is possible that these hollow cells were once inlaid. The centre of the upper lozenge contains a quatrefoil moulding. Pins with faceted heads are found in late Roman contexts and continue to be used throughout the Early Medieval peri…
