A pierced gold stater inscribed DVMNOCOVEROS TIGIRSENO. The coin, which dates to about AD 20-50 belongs to the North- Eastern regional coin series (traditionally ascribed to the Corieltavi). Type: ABC 1971 (Cottam et al 2010, Ancient British Coinage); BMC 3325-7 (Hobbs 1996, British Iron Age Coins in the British Museum).
The obverse depicts a vertical wreath with DV-M[N] across in horizontal lines; in angles, spiral and ring of pellets designs. The reverse depicts a left-facing stylised horse with pellet triad below and pellet below the tail. The inscription reads TIGIR [SENO].
