A complete cast copper-alloy hooked tag of Post-Medieval date. The tag has an openwork plate that is trefoil shaped and in the form of a Hungerford knot. This consists of a single hatched cord that is interlaced to form the trefoil knot shape, each end of the cord terminating at the top of the plate with a small moulded five petalled rose. From the top of each rose extends a transverse bar that is rectangular in form and D-shaped in section and which creates an attachment loop that is triangular in form. Post Medieval cast lead-tin alloy (pewter) toy, probably an open-mouthed ewer or jug. The piece has a circular foot with a slightly irregular broken edge and a raised ring running around it, this narrows at the connection with the main body with a second ring as it starts to widen out again. A plano-convex button, cast-in-one, with an integral sub-rectangular loop drilled with a round hole on the reverse. It is decorated with engraved or punched lines in the form of a cinquefoil or flower, offset from the centre, and a line of double curves or crescents around the edges, alternating between facing the centre and facing the edges. A comparably shaped example may be found in Read (2005), p. 146, no 975, but the details of the decoration are different. Diameter 25 mm, height 6mm. Dates to the 17th century.
