An incomplete cast copper-alloy object, probably a strap fitting or slide of Early-Medieval date. It has a flat rectangular plate, on the back face of which at either end are single integrally cast rectangular lugs that are missing their outer edges due to old breaks. The front face of the plate has extensive chip carved decoration. This comprises a rectangular border containing at its centre a band of punched pellet shaped motifs. A worn silver coin that has been bent in half due to post-depositional damage. It has been examined by Dr. Luke Treadwell at the University of Oxford (pers. comm. via Dr. John Naylor), who notes that although most of the useful identifying features are now too worn to identify it does resemble a Samanid dirham of late 9th or early 10th century AD date.

A complete cast copper-alloy hooked tag of Post-Medieval date. The tag has an openwork plate that is trefoil shaped and in the form of a Hungerford knot. This consists of a single hatched cord that is interlaced to form the trefoil knot shape, each end of the cord terminating at the top of the plate with a small moulded five petalled rose. From the top of each rose extends a transverse bar that is rectangular in form and D-shaped in section and which creates an attachment loop that is triangular in form. An incomplete cast copper-alloy mount or strap fitting of uncertain date. One terminal end survives intact, the remainder of the object missing due to old breaks. It is flat, rectangular in form with a curved terminal end that has a central circular aperture. The front face has borders along each side formed from deeply incised single lines, with traces of incised zig-zag motifs at the rounded terminal.
