An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman chatelaine type plate brooch (c. 2nd century AD). It is missing part of the plate, bar lugs, suspension bar and the pin due to old breaks. The plate has suffered losses and abrasions to the top edge and sides, resulting mainly in the loss of probable lugs. The central conical knop survives well, as does the lower edge of the plate. A complete copper-alloy strap fitting of medieval to post-medieval date. The strap fitting is broadly triangular in plan and tapers towards the tip, the end of which has been rolled inwards and is touching the main body of the strap fitting. The top of the strap fitting has a rectangular perforation with a collar just below before the artefact tapers towards the tip. There are the remains of two small adjacent circular iron rivets, iron corrosion is visible on both faces in the surrounding area of the perforations.

A complete cast copper-alloy medieval seal matrix of conical form (c. 14th century AD). The handle is hexagonally faceted. Its loop has an angled top and it is recessed on both sides. It has an off centre circular perforation, recessed on one side. The circular die features two heads facing each other within a pelleted border. The people have well defined hair and facial features. A corroded and damaged copper-alloy probably medieval sheet buckle plate. It is of folded sheet construction of a single rectangular strip of copper alloy, which has been folded over and fixed together with two rivets one of which still survives in situ, but is not attached to the other fold. A complete copper-alloy medieval harness pendant with traces of enamel. The suspension loop is at 90 degrees to the face. The pendant is broadly lozengiform in plan with four semi circular knops, one protruding from each side. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman Hod Hill type brooch, dating to the 1st century AD. The object is sub-rectangular in cross-section. The incomplete hinged head is rolled over the iron axis bar. The brooch tapers to a rectangular collar before narrowing at the waist. The bow expands slightly before tapering towards two raised horizontal collars. After this the bow tapers towards the foot which is incomplete. The bow is decorated with two raised vertical ridges. The foot is missing and only a small amount of the catch-plate remains on the reverse. The hinge and pin are missing.

A cast copper-alloy medieval strap-slide with a pair of short pointed internal projections. It is sub-trapezoidal in shape with slightly rounded corners. The artefact has a slightly rounded projection on the outer face. The projections lie closer to the inner edge. A similar example can be found illustrated in Egan and Pritchard (1991, 234; ref. 1263) assigned to a late 14th-century context.

A fragment from a medieval cast copper-alloy single-looped buckle frame consisting of the outer edge and the beginnings of the sides. The ornate outer edge features a pair large knops flanking a constriction for an extant sheet roller. The knops are delineated from the inner part of the outer edge by grooves on both faces. This narrows into the sides, both broken and vestigial, one slightly longer than the other. The buckle frame now has a dark-green patina. A buckle of similar construction can be found illustrated in Griffiths et al. (2007, 95; ref. 590).

A broken and incomplete cast copper-alloy pin of uncertain date. The pin is broken at both ends and has been bent into an elongated S shape. At what remains of the head is a flattened, expanded loop now broken through. It measures 4.5mm by 3.5mm. There is no obvious collar below. The shaft is circular in cross-section and 2.4mm in diameter below the head. Over a length of 18.1mm the shaft is straight, before bending though approximately 20 degrees. A slightly corroded but complete copper-alloy pin of early-medieval date. The head is roughly biconical with a flattened top on which there is an incised cross design. It has a maximum dia. of 6.85mm and a height of 6.1mm. It is decorated with punched ring-and-dot motifs in two rows. Below the head there is a collar which is characteristic of Middle Anglo-Saxon pins (Geake 2001, 39). The shaft is circular in cross-section and 2.3mm in diameter below the head. An incomplete cast copper-alloy umbonate quatrefoil mount of medieval date and Howsam type B.1.2. The mount has four lobes each with a rivet hole; one lobe has worn through at the circular perforation. Fragments of each of the separate copper-alloy rivets survive. There is a slight ridge between each lobe and the dome. The dome is convex and hollow on the reverse. It is decorated with an engraved cross in saltire. The metal has corroded to a dull red-brown colour. A close parallel can be found illustrated in Read (2001, 16; ref. 118) for which a c. 14th-century date is suggested.
