A Lower Palaeolithic handaxe. The axe is a pointed oval (cordate) and is made from a grey mottled flint, now patinated ochre. A little modern damage on one edge reveals the original colour of the flint. A small fossil sponge is embedded in one side.

A Mid Bronze Age side-looped leaf-shaped spearhead (1500-1150 BC). The spearhead has a leaf-shaped blade where the widest point (width 24.21mm) is low down on the blade near the socket. There is a very pronounced, angular midrib with a lozengiform cross-section becoming round towards the socket. The midrib runs from the tip and extends into the socket (length: 94.28mm). Incomplete cast bronze spearhead of Early Bronze Age, Arreton Down Metalworking Tradition (1650 BC - 1500 BC). Length 98mm, maximum width 17.5mm, maximum thickness 5mm. Weight 10.84g. The implement, symmetrical in plan, is described with the blade at the top and the tang at the bottom. The blade, 61mm in length, is shaped like a lanceolate leaf.
