A cast copper-alloy annular brooch of Medieval date. It has an annular frame that is circular in section and is moulded to appear twisted or cabled in form. To one side is a rectangular pin slot where the separately cast copper-alloy hinges. This is cylindrical in form with a pointed tip and a flattened attachment end that has multiple transverse grooves where the pin and frame meet. The entire object has traces of a white metal coating.
