Copper alloy Cheek Piece, toggle or slider fragment. Cast waisted cylindrical shaft, with one side of its slotted continuation remaining. The slot was in excess of 16mm long and circa 8mm wide. Decorative triangular recesses appear at either end of the less complete side, that closest to the slot being supplemented by a line of six crudely incised triangles within incised borders. The other retains a white surface flecked with red which may indicate that this, and perhaps the other, recess was filled with enamel. Four body sherds from ceramic vessels of probable Iron Age date. Found in the inter-tidal zone. Three shreds are dark grey and tempered with crushed flint. One of these has fresh breaks and the others have abraded breaks. The fourth sherd is buff/light grey, is tempered with crushed flint, and has abraded breaks. Combined weight: 44.67g. Donated by the finder to the Isle of Wight Heritage Service, 10/04/2012.

An incomplete copper alloy Late Iron Age/ Early Roman La Tène III (AD 20-100) simple one-piece or Nauheim derivative type brooch. It is missing its openwork catchplate. The brooch measures 39.43mm in length (to the tip of the pin) and weighs 2.95g. The head consists of four spring coils 8.49mm wide. The chord curves underneath the top of the bow, which is flat and 5.89x1.13mm at this point. A copper alloy Colchester brooch dating from 25 - 60 AD. It is made in one piece and has half of the integral coiled spring surviving. It would have had six turns. The strip of metal forming the sping projects from the back of the head, makes three turns on the right of the brooch (when viewed from the back), and then extends into the external chord which is held under the forward facing hook which is also integral. A deep groove runs around the dome. The incomplete shaft emerges from the base of the reverse and terminates in a break. The object has a mid-green patina. The object can be classified as Wild class III and can be dated to the 2nd century AD. A similar and more complete example on the database is LVPL-B1B793.

A cylindrical, hollow, object with a central 6mm wide rounded groove encircling the body. The areas to each side of the groove are decorated with encircling incised lines (two on one side and one on the other). A circular hole passes through the groove and there is a similar hole on the other side. A rectilinear loop emerges from one side and this is pierced with a circular hole which at one point uses the profile of the rounded groove as its edge. One end of the cylinder appears to be original but the other appears to be broken.

A fairly elaborate cast copper-alloy end-looped cosmetic pestle of late Iron Age/Roman date. The object has a pronounced hooked bow and moulded loop. The loop is flattened at the attachment end with a transverse notch just above the junction on the outer surface. Above the loop is rounded around a circular perforation (Dia.: 4.3mm). The central section consists of a wide band of three concentric ridges and interspersing grooves. It consists of a curved bow with a catchplate attached and a spring at the top of the bow. The pin that would have attached to the spring is missing. An Iron Age/Roman copper alloy fragment of an unidentified object. The object is curved in shape with a transverse collar at one end, just after the break. Beyond the collar is a triangle of decoration filled with punched circles extending for almost the length of this section. Section across measures 4.93 x 4.49mm before rounded terminal (6.82mm in diameter) with a cross cut in the end. Trace of red residue inside. The fragment is smooth and curving to inside surface. It is possible this is a terret or harness ring of the late Iron Age / early Roman period
