Silver Roman legionary denarius of Marcus Antonius or Mark Antony, c.32-31 BC, LEG VIII type, Eastern mint, BMRC 200. Cast copper alloy mount, possibly a sword belt mount dating from the post-medieval period, that is c. AD1500-1700. The mount is oval or egg-shaped with two attachment loops at the top (one of which is now missing) and a larger, now broken, loop between. There was another loop at the other end, but this is now missing. All surfaces are extremely worn, especially around the edges, but it looks as if the mount was decorated with vertical mouldings and a floral or fleur-de-lys pattern on the obverse.

A copper alloy Roman coin: a nummus of the House of Constantine, Fel Temp Reparatio fallen horseman type, so probably Constantius II. It is 12.3mm in diameter and 1.66mm thick. It weighs 1.07gm. Though quite well struck, the small size of this coin suggests that it may be one of the contemporary copies struck between AD355 and AD361. The bust is also quite simplistic.
