Object type: VESSEL
Broad period: UNKNOWN

A large complete cast lead pot mend of uncertain date. The pot mend is comprised of two large oval discs joined by a thick central shank and was used to mend a broken vessel in order to lengthen the period of use after damage had occurred. The shank can be seen coming through the centre of the smaller of the two plates.
