Object type: FLAKE
Broad period: NEOLITHIC
County: Oxfordshire
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
Probably late Neolithic or Bronze Age flake fragment or debitage dating from c. 4000-1000BC. The flake is white in colour and the flint is heavily patinated. It is of triangular shape - it used to be longer but snapped and only the lower section survives. Possibly a primary waste flake that was reused as a knife or scraper: it shows retouch along the lower edge.
