A Roman rim sherd from a ceramic grey ware vessel (AD 43-410). The vessel has an inverted rim and a shoulder with a carination. Minute flecks of mica can be seen in the fabric. This rim is probably part of a jar. When complete, the outer diameter of the rim would have been about 12.0cm. Height: 18.47mm; width: 49.92mm; thickness: 5.56mm. Weight: 7.01g.

Two pottery rim sherds and seven body sherds from a Bronze Age vessel that might have been used as an urn or a large storage vessel for food, as it would have originally been over 360 mm in diameter. The colour of the fabric is light brown to orange and varies over the interior and exterior surfaces of the sherds. An incomplete and repaired Grimston type ware face jug of Medieval date, c.13th to 14th century AD. The entire rim, part of the handle and the upper half of the vessel are preserved, restored from 17 joining sherds by the finders. It has a sandy grey fabric that is glazed on the exterior surface and has applied decoration. Body sherd of a Roman Poole-Wareham Black Burnished ware (BB1) ceramic vessel, 100-410 AD. The sherd has a dark outer surface and a slightly lighter core and inner side. The outerside is abraded with any burnishing lost. The fabric is fairly coarse, tempered with abundant rounded white quartz (less than 1.5mm), occasional rounded shale (less than 2mm) and possibly some very small fragments of flint. It weighs 3.36g.

Possible base sherd of a Roman greyware ceramic vessel such as a flagon. The fabric is mid to pale grey-buff with some blacker burning on one side and end. It is tempered with abundent poorly sorted rounded quartz (less than c.0.5mm across) with occasional dark iron ore inclusions (up to 3mm across). The fragment is highly abraded but appears to be T-shaped in section. It weighs 4.35 grams.
