An incomplete worn copper-alloy gilt Medieval (probably 1200-1500) buckle plate from a single-loop buckle, consisting of one plate only (probably the upper plate) and measuring 24.82x9.71x3.46mm, weighing 1.02g. It retains three dome-headed rivets, vertically arranged along the centre of the plate. The plate is 0.82mm thick and broken where the projecting tabs would have bent around the axis bar of the missing buckle frame. Between is a rectangular notch for the pin. An incomplete cast copper alloy harness fitting / suspension mount of probable 14th-century date (c.1250 - c.1450). The mount is sub-rectangular (T shaped) in plan and rectangular in cross section. It consists of two parts; a horizontal bar mount, with two small spike-like projections on the rear; and an integral cast vertical suspension fitting. An incomplete fragment of a late Bronze Age cast copper alloy (bronze) socketed axe / axehead, dated to the period 1150-750 BC. The fragment consists of a much worn and abraded blade tip / cutting edge. The fragment is broadly rectangular in plan; triangular in profile and has an irregular sub-rectangular cross section. An incomplete Early Post-Medieval (1500-1700) openwork cast copper alloy hooked tag of Read's Class E Type 3 (circular/sub-circular), missing the hook and shank. Measures 18.98x20.32x1.96mm and weighs 2.00g. The sub-circular openwork plate consists of an unequal-armed cross with a central quatrefoil (or possibly cinqfoil). There is also a quatrefoil or cinqfoil at the juncture between plate and loop and a moulded triangle either side of where the hook would have extended (recent-ish break). The four central most holes are flanked by moulded arcs. Cf. Read, 2008: nos. 412-415).

Copper alloy mount. Cast six-pointed star, slightly concavo-convex at its centre. The 'points' of the star are actually curvilinear, each resembling a bell or petal with a knop at its narrow end. A ragged central sub-rectangular hole of length 6.4mm appears to indicate where the object was fastened, and roughly removed. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1600-1800. Length: 30.7mm, Width: 27.1mm, Thickness: 1.2mm, Weight: 4.01gms.

Copper alloy spoon. Cast bowl and end of stem of a spoon with an elongated leaf-shaped bowl. The narrow tapered stem has a rounded end where it meets the underside of bowl, and bears two small stamps on its underside, possibly lettered maker's marks. The bowl is slightly longer and narrower than that of a teaspoon. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1700-1800. Length: 51.6mm, Width: 21.7mm, Thickness (bowl): 1.4mm, Weight: 6.44gms.

Five copper-alloy fragments of what appear to be from the same object, possibly World II ordnance. The 'rim' is rectangular in cross-section with the next extending flush with the interior. The rim is silvered or tinned but otherwise undecorated on the top and exterior. Two pieces of rim survive and these appear to join, but they dot form a circle, unless the current angles are somewhat distorted. Copper alloy vessel fragment. Robust cast hook with a waisted lug for rotating suspension, which would necessarily engage a slot or socket. Diagonal striations may be file or wear marks and appear on both sides of the hook and along its back edge. Amy Downes kindly corrects an initially imprecise identification with reference to find BH-D62546, suggesting this to be a a vessel handle lug. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1500-1600. An incomplete fragment from a cast copper alloy 'fob' seal of modern date probably later 18th or early 19th Century (1740-1850). The seal matrix is composite, being formed from a clear glass intaglio set into a machine pressed body. The metal body is broken and damaged, the upper part including the loop is lost. Mintmark: -//RSR; commonly attributed to London, but to be studied further. RIC V, pt 2, p. 512, no. 571. BNJ 2013 Coin Register p. 285, no. 49. Silver denarii of Carausius are rare, but the Wolf and Twins type is one of the most common reverses. This coin is included in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC.
