An incomplete copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill (Mackreth Group 4, flat wing ends), Mackreth 2011, 4.a. Plate 46, of Roman date (AD 80 to AD 120).
Approximately 50% of the brooch is present, with the spring, pin, catch-plate and foot missing.
In plan, the brooch is almost T-shaped, and D-shaped in cross section. The bow head is hump-like, and angular (comma shaped) in profile, with cylindrical wings projecting from either side at the top. The brooch is incomplete with the central leaf-shaped plate representing the body and one head remaining. This head is incomplete while the opposing head and the pin is entirely missing. A copper alloy ring, probably a harness ring, dating to the medieval or post medieval period (c.AD 1200-1800).
The hoop has slightly faceted sides and the interior hoop is flat creating a sub-oval hexagonal cross section.The surface has dark green patina and is covered in filing marks.

These were often cast in rows and it is notable by a distinctive flattened point which can be found on this particular object. These are common detector finds, but their function and dating are not well understood (Geake: Finds Recording Guide, p.54).

A complete lead alloy pyramidal or standing weight of probably Roman dating (AD 43 to AD 410).
The pyramidal weight has a circular flat base with a small central recess. The sides are almost vertical. The top is circular, with an integral flattened suspension loop, extending from the middle. A circular suspension hole is present in the suspension loop, with an internal diameter of 3.0 mm.
It is 30.9 mm in height, with a base diameter of 34.5 mm and a top diameter of 27.2 mm. It weighs 162.5 g (5.73 oz).

A complete copper alloy shoe / clog clasp dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1700-1900).
The clasp is formed of a broadly shield-shaped plate that has a flat top and sides that gradually curve towards pointed end. Both ends present an integral hook that folds into the back of the object. The hook at the top is small and sub-rectangular in shape and the hook to the bottom is wide and pelta-shaped. The surface of the clasp is worn and abraded, no decoration appears to survive. It has a brown patina with patches of bright green corrosion.

An incomplete, solid copper alloy (tombac) button dating from the post medieval period (c.AD 1600-1800).
The button is circular with a plano-convex head. The face is shallowly domed with a pimple at the apex. The underside is flat with two stubs for the copper alloy wire attachment loop which is now missing. The object has a smooth, dark grey patina.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy object of likely medieval to post-medieval date c.AD500-1700). The has a central moulded bar consisting of two cylindrical shapes separated by a groove. The face of the object has an X inscribed on each of these cylinders whereas the reverse is undecorated. There is a horn like projection from each side that curves upwards and terminates at a break.

An almost complete lead-alloy pilgrim's ampulla of medieval date (c.AD 1350-1550).
The body of the ampulla is circular with an elongated rectangular neck extending from one edge. Where the neck meets the body is positioned one attachment loop on each side; one is complete, the other partially complete. The opening at the top of the neck has been pinched shut. Both faces are worn and slightly abraded and present no decoration. The object has a dark creme patina.

An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1660 - 1720.
The buckle is a trapezoidal shoe or knee buckle with a drilled frame for a separate spindle. The sides of the frame are decorated with moulded scrolled knops around the spindle while the outer loops are decorated with moulded oval-shaped recesses which act as pin rests. The rests are flanked by scrolled knops on the exterior edge of each loop. The iron spindle survives as a mass of corrosion while the chape and pin are lost.

A complete copper-alloy Harness Pendant of Medieval date (AD 1175-1400). The pendant is square with an integral suspension loop projecting centrally from one edge. The front of the pendant is decorated with a crude rampant lion left, with other motifs obscured by corrosion and abrasion. The reverse is flat and undecorated.
The metal is mid-green in colour with a pitted patina.
