A Medeival silver cut half penny of Henry III (1216-1272 AD). Class 3b circa 1248-50. The obverse has very little of the central field remaining as the coin was struck off centre. The obverse legend is ( H ) ENRIC ( US REX lll ). The reverse has a long voided cross with three pellets in each quarter and an inscription of INC NIC this, on a complete coin would read NIC(OLE ON W)INC therefore a moneyer called Nicole from the Winchester mint.
