A copper-alloy nummus of The House of Valentinian; SECVRITAS REIPVBLICAE reverse. The visible element of the mintmark (see numismatic information) suggests that this is a coin of Valentinian I or Valens, minted at Arles during the Second period of AD 367-375 (see RIC Vol. IX, p. 58).
The coin is worn and very corroded. It measures 17.5mm in diameter, 2mm thick and weighs 2.3g.
