A Post-Medieval gold finger ring. The hoop is D-shaped in cross-section and gently widens on either shoulder to form a tall, pierced stop either side of a rectangular slot. The slot would have contained a setting or swivel, secured by a rivet through the stop on either side. The shoulders are decorated with foliage and pellets presumably representing grapes or berries. Examination under a microscope reveals traces of black and white enamel within the recesses of the foliage. A copper-alloy stamp, probably for leather book bindings. The stamp probably dates to the late medieval or early post-medieval period. The stamp is rectangular and originally flat but now with one third of the stamp slightly bent upwards. One side is undecorated apart from bearing the letters PENCES (French for 'Think') in Black-Letter. The inscription is in reverse. The other side is entirely decorated with an elaborate hunting or forest scene. Across the upper perimeter is a rectangular strip decorated with pellets. An incomplete Roman enamelled plate brooch. The brooch is oval, flat and has an interior band of reserve metal. The field within the interior band is filled with a yellowish corrosion or perhaps degraded enamel. The field surrounding the band contains juxtaposed blue and white enamel without any metal divisions. On the reverse is the remains of a coiled spring. The catchplate is located at the opposite end.

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy dolphin brooch. The brooch a comma shaped in profile, rectangular in cross-section with a moulded ridge down the centre towards the base. The wings are very worn and have some feint vertical ribbing. The surface of the brooch has been silvered.

An incomplete Sprung Dolphin brooch of early Roman date. The brooch is missing its wings; the reverse of the head is concave and would have held a spring. The bow is comma shaped in profile, plano-convex in cross-section and decorated down the front witha central row of transverse grooves, and further grooves down either side.
