An incomplete clay pipe of post-medieval date. All that remains of the pipe is the complete bowl which is small and bulbous with an incised circumferential line around the rim. There is a flat foot beneath the bowl with no discernable makers mark and the tube has been lost to an old and worn break. The circular hole through the tube is slightly off-centre and measures 3.36mm in diameter and would suggest a rough date of c.1610 AD. A sherd from a ceramic vessel of Post Medieval date. The sherd is a base sherd from a small vessel. The base is beaded. The fabric is hard, a yellow cream colour and the breaks are fine. There are sparse grey inclusions which are very small. Both faces are glazed, with a clear glaze on the outside with a stripe of thick brown, and the inside has a mottled brown and yellow glaze which has pooled in the base. The vessel is probably 17th or 18th century in date.

A sherd from a ceramic vessel of probable Post Medieval date. The sherd is a rim sherd from a thick earthenware bowl. The rim is rounded and slightly out-turned. The fabric is fairly hard, a bright red/orange colour reduced to grey on the inside. The breaks are irregular and the inclusions are sparse and small. They include grey stone and white pieces of quartz. The inside face is glazed with an iron rich dark brown glaze. This continues over the rim but not further on the outside. The vessel is probably 16th or 17th century in date.

A base from a Roman ceramic vessel; probably a colour coated beaker dating from the later Roman period. Only the base of the vessel survives. It is narrow at just 40.97mm diameter. It tapers to 35.9mm at the narrowest point and then the walls flare. The fabric is white to light grey with a colour coating of dark grey on the outer face, and of grey with red tones on the inside. The breaks are fine with a smooth feel and the inclusions are mainly flecks of black and orange-red (perhaps grog). A rim sherd of a Roman Vectis Ware ceramic vessel (c. 43-c. 350 AD). This coarse ware sherd is burnished on the external face and the breaks are abraded. Height: 36.92mm; width: 37.38mm; thickness: 11.26mm. Weight: 15.53g. 'Vectis ware is hand-made, well finished and relatively hard, being barely scratched with the fingernail. A body sherd fragment of samian ware, or terra sigilata, pottrey of Roman date. The dark orange-red slip suggests that this may have been produced in either Southern or Central Gaul. samian ware was exported from gaul from teh First to Third centuries AD. The vessel was probably a shallow bowl and has some roulette decoration around it.

A small sized fragment of a Roman roof tile, or tegula, c. 43-410 AD. The tegula fragment is sub-triangular in plan, with a portion of the flat bottom and edge rising at a right angle to the base; the upper surface has been smoothed, whereas the underside is rough. No decoration is visible. The tegula seems to have large dark inclusion, as well as grog temper to strengthen the fabric; the fabric is reddish-orange in colour. It measures 67.63 mm long, 94.61 mm wide; 41.66 mm maximum height; 22.31 mm maximum thickness; it weighs 201 grams.
