A cast copper alloy flask which may have been used as a flask for holy oil, of probable medieval date. The flask is 56.9mm high and weighs 69.3g. It has a circular profile and a convex base with a maximum diameter of 39.75mm which narrows to 17.7mm at the top. On opposite sides, just below the circular opening, there are two flat sub-rectangular lugs. A probable sheet copper alloy strap plate of later fourteenth or early fifteenth century date. The flat rectangular fitting measures 41.7mm in length, 21.9mm in length, 1.2mm in thickness and weighs 5.7g. Each of the shorter sides has had three rounded triangular notches removed. The central notch is slightly larger and a short horizontal line has been incised across the plate from the 'points'. There is a rivet hole at each angle. Four pottery sherds of medieval date. The sherds include one everted rim sherd, one base angle sherd and two body sherds. The fabric is fairly course and sandy with moderate sub-rounded to angular flint and quartz pieces (up to 5mm). Three of the sherds have buff to orange oxidised surfaces and reduced grey cores. The other sherd is oxidised all the way through, with the exception of the internal surface, which is reduced. The sherds probably come from cooking pots of 11th to 13th century date. Total weight: 23.76g

A cast copper alloy strap end of late Anglo-Saxon date. The tongue-shaped strap end measures 34.3mm by 17.7mm (a width to length ratio of 1:1.94) by 1.9mm and weighs 4.06g. The strap end has three equally spaced rivet holes alongside its narrowed straight end, one of which contains some corroded metal, apparently also copper alloy. The fragmentary first disc from a two disc cast lead cloth seal of probable seventeenth century date. The fragment measures 28.4mm by 23.14mm by 3.5mm and weighs 9.86g. The external face depicts a shield on which there is a upwards pointing sword with two mullets on each side and a cross pattee above. These are the arms of the city of Haarlem in Holland. Around the arms is the legend HAERL[EMS GOET], meaning goods from Haarlem. On the rivet is the number 20, which indicated the length in Dutch ells of the cloth being certified. Around the rivet is the impression of a finely woven cloth.

A cast copper alloy T-shaped Roman brooch of 1st or 2nd century AD date. The brooch measures 48mm in length and weighs 6.48g. The cylindrical wings measure 24.1mm in length and 4.4mm in diameter. They conceal the copper alloy axis bar for the missing hinged pin. The axis bar is visible within the central notch which would have accommodated the pin. The wings are decorated with two parallel vertical incised lines on the external face of each end and two parallel slightly diagonal lines which frame the bow.
