Incomplete copper alloy Roman? cosmetic/ surgical instrument. It is 45.5mm long with 9.5mm of one end bending slightly upwards. This stretch is flat (1mm thick) and 3mm wide. The opposite end is circular in section (4mm diameter) though the sides of the object are faceted and narrow to 2.5mm and thin to 2mm just before the bend. The object weighs 2.72g. The metal is worn and green in colour with some white patches. The circular end appears to have a slight circular impression in its end, filled with a white substance. Incomplete and bent in half, copper alloy late medieval/ post medieval book fitting - hooked plate. It is missing the very end of its hook. Its bent length is 25mm (estimated original length 44mm) and it is 9mm wide, expanding to 15.5mm wide at the ornate end opposite the hook. It weighs 2.05g. The hook is 4mm wide and breaks just after its curl. Behind this the fitting is 10mm wide, narrowing after 4mm to 9mm. At the bend is a rivet hole, empty but with iron staining. Incomplete copper alloy late medieval/ post medieval book fitting - hooked plate. It is slightly bent and 67mm long, missing most of its hook and one coner of the opposite end. The end opposite the hooked end is concave in shape with an additional circular hole 4.5mm in diameter coming off its centre point. The surviving corner of this end has a 1.5mm diameter rivet in it. The metal is purpley orange in colour and no patina survives. On one side (the underside) the surface is rough and covered with diagonal tooling marks. It measures 67x16.5x0.5mm and weighs 6.22g.

Medieval lead pilgrim or secular badge, depicting a crude ?angel. It weighs 4.43g and is 31mm long and max 16mm wide. The reverse is flat with a central rib, along which the pin and catchplate extend. The decorated side appears to show a small head without a neck, sitting at the top of the body. Early Medieval (11th-12th century) copper alloy buckle with wide angled plate. It is slightly bent. The axis bar is triangular in section, being flat on the reverse. At either end is a semi-rounded triangular knop, also flat on the reverse. Around the axis bar is a sheet metal pin without decoratioiin and 3mm wide, narrowing to a point. The outside edge is angled outwards and downwards and is max.7mm wide, narrowing to either side where it turns to join the axis bar knops. There is no notch for the pin. It is 17mm long and 21mm wide. It weighs 2.24g.

Medieval copper alloy strap loop with internal projections, missing its attachment rivet. It is basically trapezoidal in shape with its arms rounded to the point where the projection extends, where the curve dips before curving to the outermost edge. This outermost edge is circular in section and 2.5mm in diameter. The edge that holds the rivet is 4mm wide and max.2.5mm thick. Copper alloy spur rowel, late medieval in date. It is in the shape of a seven-pointed star and is copper alloy with traces of gilding. At its centre is a 1mm diameter hole. It measures 22x21mm and is 2mm thick. It weighs 2.41g. Each point is triangular in shape with a dip between each, where they join the next one. Cf Salisbury Museum Medieval Catalogue 1, p.74 no.19.

Incomplete copper alloy Iron Age/ Roman strap union/ juntion, now in two parts. It is of Taylor and Brailsford Type I (Proceedings of the Prehistorc Society Vol.51, 1985). The two loops are different - one is cast while the other appears to be an axis bar (now missing) held between two projecting plates (one of which is now missing). Incomplete copper alloy Roman Trumpet brooch, missing its pin and most of its loop. Both lower and upper bows are bent into a slight S-shape. The head is rather curious in that it does not extend above the wings, but stops at the top. A loop extends upwards, which is broken, standing on two 7mm long ribs. The wingspan is 14mm and the axis bar appears to be iron (ornage corrosion) and corroded into place. The bow drops to a frontal acanthus (Collingwood's type R iv). Undatable but probably post medieval, lead unidentified object. It is cylindrical in shape, 10.5mm im diameter at one end narrowing to 8mm at the other. It is 8mm tall and weighs 6.45g. At the larger end is a 2x1mm 'dimple', at the other end 5 moulded ribs, equidistant and parallel. Other similarly decorated lead finds have been found on this site, often rather more pointed oval in shape, but of a similar height.
