A Post-Medieval lead alloy two disc cloth seal.
Both discs are present and the connecting strip is intact. On the front of the first disc is evidence of an elaborate makers/privy mark although it is very difficult to distinguish. There does appear to be a crown above a central circular object ( ?pineapple ) with a letter ...(G)... to the left of the crown. Stamped on the central part of the front of the 2nd disc (which is actually the flattened rivet) is another elaborate symbol contained within a partial circle of dots. Again this is difficult to identify.

A Post-Medieval lead alloy cloth seal.
A two disc type with a missing interconnecting strip. The seal is in a poor condition with only faint evidence of a stamp or privy mark. There is evidence where the impression of original cloth has been formed against the lead between sections of the two discs. Both discs has been punched in the centre forming two holes (similar to a button), possibly in an attempt to turn the seal in to a dress weight
Geoff Egan was unable to allocate a precisde date to this seal other than 16-18th century.

A Post-Medieval lead alloy cloth seal.
A two disc type with interconnecting strip. Although the seal is intact it is quite worn around the circumference. The first disc carries the capital letters...AR..... or ......AB....... while the second disc bears a partial number.......1......., this is linked to a madderbag, which was the general symbol of the dyers.
The actual dye used by this dye house (almost certainly based on the banks of the River Thames in London) would have been woad, for blue cloth. In this case it was coloured in the capital before being shipped to Durham.

The first disc which is 21mm in diameter contains the numerals...39.... within an outer raised border. The numerals are quite large with the number 3 measuring 6mm in height.
On the second disc are the letters .....TG.... or .....TC....below these two l…

This is a two disc seal type although only one disc is present. On the front of the disc is an image similar to a port cullis although this is not certain. A small protrusion on the outer edge of the disc indicates where the interconnecting strip may have broken away. The second disc is missing although there is evidence of a singular rivet on the rear of the first disc.
Geoff Egan confirmed this as dating from the 16th-18th centuries.
